We have the pleasure of welcoming Local Author Seggy T Segaran for an evening to discuss his self published book “Zheng He and the Galle Trilingual Inscription - 15th Century Chinese Diplomacy in the Indian Ocean”.

Seggy Segaran is an engineer, author, and explorer of history’s overlooked crossroads. Born in Sri Lanka and having lived in York for the last 40+ years, he brings a distinctive crosscultural lens to the past, one shaped by the realisation that the stories we inherit often leave entire worlds unexplored.

Through his writing, he invites readers to rethink familiar histories and to recognise the global stories that have always been there, waiting to be seen from a different angle.
